an incredible number of short stories, definitely a few gems that are hyper efficient, creating worlds that leave you wanting to know more yet also satiated for what few words you did get. and then a lot of experimental duds, exacting a toll for the next hidden gem.

i likely should have saught out a curated selection, but i wanted to emerse myself in the art of short stories to better understand what makes them tick and the art and craft involved.
