i continue to avoid anime streaming fees thanks to a library that's not afraid
to invest in manga. who knew that a giant endless pit in earth was enough
to pique my interest?
one book in and i'm sold. the art style (while good) isn't my favorite, though
it does harken back to RPGs of old like chrono trigger. it does fit with how
young the characters are as well.
layer by layer, the artifacts and monsters offer many worlds to explore. i'm
there till the bottom! it doesn't hurt that reg is basically mega man.
[update, books 5-8, 2024/3] the rollercoaster of this story has gotten pretty
dark. as if the abyss wasn't dark enough...
