Ed is a notorious AI bear (and for good reason).
i agree that AI is over hyped and plugged into ever facet imaginable to squeeze a profit and justify the insanely high investment that is pouring in.
yet, generative AI, while a constrained technology, continues to improve (though slowing down) and it's hard to predict how it will be used as it gets better.
perhaps we have reached peak hype, but the technology itself hasn't peaked (yet).
