I love the idea of primers as a way to disseminate hard to understand and follow research.
it tackles a lot of the problems introduced by overzealous marketing departments of universities and research labs: hype and a lack of simmering time.
unfortunately, most primers likely will end as this does: too many unknowns and so much more research to do.
it's not a bad outcome but disheartening in a world of massive NIH contraction
