notes

vol 1

woah. this series isn't for the faint of heart. it's also definitely not great reading material for when you are in a public library!

at first, it seems this series is a more provocative version of "the invincible" series. as you learn more about the context and the characters, you start to feel and live the nuances.

while the invincible can be interpreted as a commentary on super heroism in the context of our humanity, the boys focuses ono the commentary on super powers in the context of our current human society.

i'm gonna ride this one to the end when no one is looking. perhaps i just want to see how far the rabbit hole goes and how homelander will fit in with the commentary.
