notes

a lot of folks are likely gonna walk away dissappointed because of setting
expectations for what kind of endings they want.

i'm not a fan myself, but i don't think it takes away from the great writing and
character development. it's still unbelievable this book was written before the
covid-19 pandemic. it feels like a playbook...

i think the author is doing something right when you don't agree with the
protagonist, their views and decisions in their life, but you still want the
best for them.

Severance is a darkly comedic and thought-provoking novel about the nature of identity, the perils of consumerism, and the fragility of our modern world.
