Rover's Story

notes

what a wild ride. the timespan, questioning of death and life by a robot and all the friends you make a long the way. definitely some heavy subject material for a young reader. yet, well spread out and light enough to let it soak in, contemplate and enjoy.

i wasn't a fan of fly, but now i miss him! beeps and boops.

summary

Resilience (Res), a Mars rover, embarks on a journey of self-discovery as he's built and sent to Mars. Developing human-like emotions and a thirst for knowledge, Res forms deep connections with his creators, especially the scientist Rania, and fellow rovers. He faces the challenges of space travel and the Martian environment with courage and determination, all while searching for signs of life and pondering the meaning of his own existence. Though he eventually succumbs to the harsh conditions, Res leaves a legacy of discovery and inspiration, proving that even a robot can experience life's profound wonders.
